Went to the Paradise show on Friday night with group of 18.
Very excited to see Grace Potter whom many of us have followed and listened to. Wow. What a pleasant suprise when Sarah and the boys took the stage. Totally rocked our middle-aged socks off. Count me (and our whole group for that matter) as big Sarah Borges fans. Bought the CD, and haven't stopped listening to it. Looking forward to seeing Sarah again soon in or around Beantown.

Just wanted to drop a note to say SBBS have a new fan. First saw the band in Boston at Copley Square this summer and that got me interested. Fast forward to last night's show at Paradise in Boston. I got my Grace Potter and the Noctrunal tix a couple months ago and as it turned out I got lucky enough to see your band again - last night rocked and set the hook for me! Loved the set! Since I'm sort of a local (NH) I'm sure I'll see SBS again!

Thanks to Sarah and the band for a great show at Knuckleheads last night. It was good to see a much larger crowd than the show you played there in June and you converted many new fans last night! That well-coifed wedding party that turned up sure lit up the dance floor! All in all, there was a real party atmosphere at the club last night and much of that is thanks to you guys. I hope you always remember to stop in Kansas City whenever you're in the Midwest. We LOVE you here!

Sarah:
I wanted to thank you for your generousness at the MTBM concert by taking the time to meet with my kids. They were in awe of meeting a true rock star and have not taken off their Broken Singles T-Shirts yet.
You have made fans who are waiting for your next return to Hudsonville. The concert was amazing and your band is phenominal. Thanks for a wonderful night and an AWESOME show.

Dear Sarah,
Your show in Bowing Green was phenomenal! Thank you so much for the "call out" to Laura and Karly! I'm happy you got cat books you liked. Please come again to Bowling Green. I hope to see you at our Black Swamp Arts Festival in early September. It's the best (as are you!).
You rock!

Sarah: Thanks for participating in our MTBM fundraiser last night in Hudsonville, MI. You and the Broken Singles put on a high energy show that thrilled everyone in attendance. It was a pleasure to have you grace our stage. We have had over thirty Grammy winners - from Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Little Feat, John Hiatt, Richard Thompson, and Joan Armatrading to name a few and you and the band were as good as anything we have seen or heard over the years. My Best Regards!

I realize that if you are reading this I may be preaching to the choir but here goes…
I’ve seen a lot of rock-n-roll in my 48 years. I’ve listened to it on everything from vinyl records and 8-Track tapes to CDs and downloads on my iPod. I’ve been to venues from coffee shops to stadiums.
This last year I’ve rediscovered vinyl records and on Friday night I rediscovered coffee shops.
At a coffee shop called Grounds For Thought in Bowling Green, Ohio, I saw these guys live for the first time. Thanks to Kelly and Laura Wicks for underwriting the event (it was a free show)!
Do yourself three favors. Buy a record player and start listening to vinyl records, buy everything that these guys record and lastly…If these guys every play anywhere within 200 miles of where you live, get up off the couch, flip the record over and then get in the car and drive to see them live. You won’t get many chances to sit 3 feet away from a group of musicians of this caliber.

Johnny D's 10/26-SBBS Smoked the place! My knees are still sore from dancin'. What a Band! Sarah for Bostan's Local Vocalist of the year?? How about NATIONAL VOCALIST OF THE YEAR!!!

October 29, 2007
Just back from my 3RD Road Trip sinc Aug. (This one a 800mile trek) to see this Incredible live band at Johnny D's in Boston. The opening act - Kevin Connolly was very good. His cd made for an enjoyable ride home. But the Main Course was of course SBBS. Tight, Frisky & Rockin'!! Rob & Binky really laid down some Solid foundation. Ken Camandeco got up with Sarah & the boys for a few tunes including "All This Weight' (one of my favs) which he penned his very own self. His harmonica reallt added to the songs(when his cord actually stayed pluged in to his harmonica!). Mike - he must have been on steroids - his guitar was on Fire! Man his solos were ferocious & had the Steel singing. And Singing is what Sara knows what to do -with Attitude!! (God she even pulled off Sam's classic "Bring It On Home To Me" like it was one of her own- and by the way- check out how many of the song on Diamonds In The Dark are written by Sarh!). Talk to her before the show and here's this warm, pretty, inteligent girl next store. Then she straps on that guitar and BLAM!! Wow! Annie Oaklie with a guitar.
She had the crowd ( & my 50 yr old knees ) dancin'. Even one Gentleman(Ron) dropped his cane( I kid you not) & danced! Only thing that kept it from being perfect - the dam bar kicked people out too soon -1am. And I wish they they had time for "Blind Love". ps How can Sarah get nominated for "Local" female vocalist - it should be NATIONAL FEMALE VOCALIST!!
Sam

Hello:
My cousin and my best friend from college recently caught a show in Atlanta from Sarah and The Band. Friend just turned 50, the old fart..wait, so did I ..arrrrggh!)
They are real fans, and I just downloaded "The Day We Met" and I am loving it, solid songwriting and production, love the drumming.
You guys kind of remind me of the 80s band Lone Justice, but with more of a Rocakabilly feel.
If you are in Maine, hope to see a live performance!
Also spread the gospel at my drumming forum:

Iron Horse Show - 9/22/07 REVIEW
Venue- Cool Bar. Lots of music history-a lot of Great acts have played here over the years.
Opening Act- John Cate -VERY VERY Good.
Sound- Excellent
The Broken Singles- Freakin' Great again - Hey what can I say - These guys are FUN to see live. The Band is tight. Some of the songs (e.g.The Day We MET) were played at a somewhat slower tempo which I really enjoyed. One new song was debuted ( I can't recall the name ) which I thougt was Terrific. The rhythm section of Binky & Rob was steady & pounding and Binky was his usual hillarious self ("peanuts"). Mike's guitar playing was great but his Steel work was really sweet.
And Sarah. She's AMAZING! I mean does her voice ever have an off night. This girl can Flat Out SING!!
Kids, takr it from this old guy. I've seen Hundreds of shows by Hundreds of groups over the years and This band is one of my Very Favorite!! And to top it all off They're Really Cool People. Go see "em. Travel if you got to. Just go see "em.

listening over and over to Diamonds right now . . . fabulous album!
there's a great venue here in the Richmond area . . . Ashland Coffee and Tea in Ashland, sits about 225 . . . gets many of the same artists as Birchmere/9:30 (we lived in DC for years and saw many shows at both) . . . you would be perfect for it, so when you're between Raleigh and DC do come play a show at the "Center of the Universe" (local joke) . . . would love to see you live!

Hi Sarah,
I was listening to 850-WEEI online this afternoon when an on air personality gave your new CD a rave review! That's pretty amazing coming from a sports radio station that dominates the airwaves here in Massachusetts. I logged onto your website to check it out and it sounds great. Congrats on your success and good luck touring. Hopefully we’ll catch your next show in S’Ville.

Saw you guys at Saturday in the Park in Sioux City, IA. You were all amazing and blew me away. I've been telling everyone that missed it, how awesome SB & BS was. By the time I went to buy your CD that day, they were SOLD OUT!! I guess I'll have to purchase online now. Thanks for bringing great music to Siouxland!

Hi Sarah and crew,
I just received my copy of Diamonds in the Dark a week or so ago and I'm really enjoying it. So, how many CD sleeves did you sign?;)
I wish your concert in Baltimore was on a Friday or Saturday rather than Sunday night. As a working stiff with two kids to get out the door to camp in the morning my Sunday night partying days are over :(. Maybe next time you're in town.

Hi Sarah,
Read about you in Paste and checked out your website/youtube. Your music is right up my alley. It's the sound I want for our band. Couldn't connect to Sugar Hill so had to buy your discs on Amazon. C'mon up to The Great White North sometime. Calgary is a roots kinda town and we Canucks will show you a good time. We won't bite, honest.
